Genus TROIDES
The following species are members of genus TROIDES and they are represented on this homepage.
The genus TROIDES was described in 1819 by Hübner. It contains at present about 20 species. The genus TROIDES is a small group of PAPILIONIDAE. TROIDES butterflies are from AUSTRALASIA-INDOMALAYA.
These butterflies are black and gold.
All of them are also called birdwing-butterflies. Birdwings are wonders of nature and we have to protect them.
