Graphium incerta

Graphium incerta is a butterfly from Australasia / Indomalaya ecozone (Australia). The first description was in 1927 by Bang-Haas. The wingspan is about 7 – 8 cm. This butterfly is a member of the family PAPILIONIDAE. The basic colour of Graphium incerta is white. Black bars dominate the wings.

Description

The fore wings are white. Many black bars dominate the wing. The outer edge is black and it contains one white bar.
The underside of Graphium incerta is very similar to the upside. But, the basic colour is yellowish.

The hind wings of Graphium incerta are white and they have tails. The edge is wavy. Some black bars dominate the wing. The back part of the wing is black and it contains some blue spots. At the inner edge there is a blue eye with orange eye-shadow.  
The underside is very similar to the upside. But, the basic colour is yellowish.At the front edge there is a yellow spot.

The body (abdomen) is black. The thorax and the head are also black. The underside of all parts is yellowish.
