The tribe TROIDINI contains 6 genera and two subtribes. The subtribes contains also genera.

The genus ATROPHANEURA was described in 1865 by Reakirt. It contains at present about 29 species. ATROPHANEURA butterflies are from Asia and Australia. These species are in all development stages uneatable, because the larvae life on toxic plants and accumulate the poison in body.
They are also called Batwings or Windmills.
