The following species are members of genus BARONIA and they are represented on this homepage.

The genus BARONIA was described in 1893 by Salvin. It contains at present only 1 species. These butterflies are very etnic, a living fossil. A typical attripute are the very short antennae. BARONIA butterflies are from a short area in Mexico, NEOTROPIC (South America).
