The genus EURYADES

The following species are members of genus EURYADES and they are represented on this homepage.

The genus EURYADES was described in 1864 by C. & R. Felder. It contains at present only 2 species. The genus EURYADES is a very small group of PAPILIONIDAE. EURYADES butterflies are from NEOTROPIC (South America).
One of these two butterflies have tails on their hind wings.
The caterpillars eat toxic plants. Therefore the butterflies are protected from natural enemies too.
